Hammerson endeavours to provide the information on this web site in a format which is accessible to all, regardless of ability or disability.
Accessibility on this site
- Access Keys
- The Hammerson.com website incorporates ACCESSKEY functionality. These keys can be used to navigate the site quickly and easily without using a mouse.
- Text size
- The text on the website pages is scaleable so that it can be increased in size without affecting the sites appearance. The default text size for the site is approximately 12 points. To increase or decrease the text size, use the Text Size setting in the Internet Explorer View menu (at the top of the screen). The default setting is Medium. In browsers other than Internet Explorer, there will be a similar setting. For example, in Netscape versions 6 and above the option is called Text Zoom.
- Colour
- The colours of the text and background contrast sufficiently to optimise legibility.
- Print page
- It is possible to print out each page in black and white without frames.
- Navigation aids
- Pages which have extended content provide “back to top” links at suitable breaks in the text. Every page throughout the site includes a search box (access key s).
- Links
- Many links have title attributes which describe the link in greater detail, unless the text of the link already fully describes the target (such as the headline of an article).
- There are no links that open new windows without warning.
- Images
- All content images used in this site include descriptive ALT attributes.
- Complex images include LONGDESC attributes or inline descriptions to explain the significance of each image to non-visual readers.
- All graphics are described with a short text summary, which you will see if you turn off graphics in your browser, or use a browser that does not display images
- PDF files
- Files such as annual and interim reports, presentations and many press releases can be downloaded and/or printed out as PDF files. These files need a special piece of software to view called the Adobe® Acrobat Reader®, which can be downloaded from the Adobe® website.
